I took a couple of photos of the fair when E and I were riding the Ferris wheel and then ran them through a tilt-shift effects generator to make the scenes look like miniatures.
Try it yourself here. It works best if you have a photo taken from a high angle.

The trick is that Faith likes to make LEEETTLE miniature fairgrounds on her kitchen table and take pictures of them.
To see this technique in motion, check out the rowing scenes in The Social Network. First time I'd ever seen it done.
It has to do with selective focus. You can buy tilt-shift lenses for $$$ but there are a number of online generators and apps that mimic the effect.
