Yay for 3-day weekends! This weekend E is attending his very first friend birthday part and then on Monday N and I and my in-laws are going to take him to see the new Miyazaki movie, The Secret World of Arrietty. I’m so excited!
And of course I’ll be squeezing in some cabinet-painting in there somewhere 🙂
Before you start your weekend there are a few things I wanted to share with you.
-If this was our local weather guy I would definitely watch the local news more often:
-Not quite sure what’s the big deal about Jeremy Lin?
Our weekend is shaping up to be fun and eventful. We’re seeing four more movies at Sundance (two tonight, two tomorrow) and having one of the celebrations for Mimi’s birthday. (The other one will probably happen once the kitchen is finished).
I hope you have a lovely weekend. Our will probably be pretty low-key. Tomorrow morning we’re going to the box office to get our tickets for the Sundance Film Festival but other than that we’re going to be hanging out at home.
Poor Mimi is coming down with a bug so I’m moving cuddling her to the top of my to-do list for this weekend. I guess that means painting cabinets got bumped from #1 (darn).
Phew! After being laid low over the weekend by a nasty stomach bug things are finally getting back to normal. Sweet Mimi is still a little under the weather but E and I are back to normal and lucky N managed to avoid the whole thing.
I have some things I’m working on but in the mean time, you should totally watch this video.
Aren’t they amazing? Back in college I attended a casual Taekwondo class with the kids from my Korean class but watching this makes me want to sign up for real classes. It looks so much fun and what great exercise!
Our plans for this weekend are pretty low key. I’m looking forward to mulling over paint chips (I have PLANS for our kitchen) and getting caught up on laundry (Poor N–one morning this week he discovered that he was out of clean black socks for work but sweetly put on a dirty pair without mentioning it at all. I only knew because I saw him out of the corner of my eye when I was in the shower. I am Wife Of The Year.)
I hope your weekend is as fun/relaxing/productive as you want it to be!
Once E is totally finished potty training (i.e. poops in the toilet EVERY time) we’re going to get him a bike as a prize. I can’t wait! (both because I’m tired of cleaning up his poopy underwear and also because the sight of him on a bike is going to be super cute).
