Whoo-hoo! I’ve made it to 250 posts! When I started this blog I wasn’t sure how long I was going keep up with it. But over a year later I have to say that I’m enjoying it quite a bit.
I originally started this blog to keep family and friends updated on the goings-on of E, but connecting with neat people here in blogland has been an appreciated bonus. It does make me kind of curious about who is reading, though.
So, how about you? What brings you to my neck of the interwebs?
Brenda from New York here. I found your site via Apartment Therapy.
I like following your woodworking projects and your little boy is really cute!
Well, I pretty much think you’re awesome. 😉
A lot of your readers may be people that think they don’t need to introduce themselves to you for one of two reasons: i) they are IRL (in real life) friends and family that have obviously already been introduced to you in a more formal manner; or ii) they are standard Internet lurkers who do not consider comment-leaving to be part of their online modus operandi.
What these people need to know is that they NEED TO LEAVE A COMMENT ANYWAY. Why? Because comments = popularity = self-esteem. Do you guys want Faith to jump in front of a train because she only got three comments on “leave a comment” day? Is that what you want?!? IS IT?!?
By the way, I’m N and I love your site. And I’m your husband. I live in your house. Maybe you’ve heard of me.
I read this site for years before I found out we were related. Weird.
Mostly I like that picture of your son trying to rip the front paws off that dog from The Muppet Show.
Hi, long time reader and occasional commenter- I love your blog too! I especially love the “I ‘heart’ art” segments.
I do know you in person, but I love to browse your blog whenever I get a minute. I enjoy the mix of personal pictures and thoughts, the projects I wish I were talented enough to copy, the fun and pretty things you find to post (like the “cherry blossoms” below) and the helpful tips and product recommendations you make. Its always an interesting and refreshing read.
I love keeping up with my funny roommate from college who was awesome except for the one time she put her feet on my pillow. 🙂
Regarding the above comment from N. He is funny… still.
Hi Faith, Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I had never considered that not looking very Korean may make you explore your Korean side more… I looked around your blog a bit and just love the pictures of E! Great blog!
Love the blog…I will totally comment so that way you don’t even think about the jumping in front of a train thing. 🙂
Hey, Gwyn here! I come for the cute pics of E., but stay for all the hip decor and pop culture references. I have now started saying “internets” thanks to your blog! Keep up the good work, Faithie.
I come to The Nearet Future for a glimpse into a crystal ball or at least an astrological reading. So far I have been given no insights into my future, but that’s okay. You’re my best bud and E. is Peter’s best bud (convenient, huh). I love your blog.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment! Consider my secret plan to jump in front of a train canceled. Speaking of that, I guess this means that everyone’s now kind of met Nathan (oops I mean “N” –secrets revealed!)
Brenda, I’m glad you found my blog and stuck around. The big finish to my jewelry box project is coming up in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned!
Marissa, I really like reading your blog and I wished we had had the chance to hang out more before you moved.
Nathan, it’s lovely to meet you. You crack me up.
Ken, you will be happy to know that Teddy (the dog) escaped the encounter without (much) bodily harm.
Mindy, it’s good to know that you like the art posts. I’ve been thinking I need to do more of them and will do so. I miss you guys. Come for another visit, okay?
Natalie, I didn’t know you came here! But I’m glad you do.
Jamie, I have no recollection about the incident to which you refer. (Ahem.)
Andrea, thanks for stopping by. Your little guy is a real cutie. It’s fun that him and E are the same age.
The Charm, I’m so glad that you live nearby, although I wish we got together more often. (I still want to go on our trip; I’ll call you.)
Gwynnie, you’re so much fun. N and I are really forward to your visit. It’s going to be great!
Kristin, living two blocks away from you guys is seriously one of the best things about our neighborhood. You are awesome.
Whew! This concludes the comment lovefest of aught-nine. (Yeah, I have no idea why saying “aught” for zero cracks me up but it does. *Shrug*) Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment.
